　　Food industry: Removing fats from food raw materials (such as nuts, meat products) (must meet food-grade standards).

　　Cosmetics industry: Used for cleaning greasy dirt, such as in makeup removers (however, due to irritation, residue must be strictly controlled).

　　Organic Synthesis

　　As a reaction medium (dissolving non-polar reactants), or used for the recrystallization and purification of solid organic compounds (utilizing its low boiling point and high volatility for easy subsequent drying).
